TRIGGERED! When someone tries to prove you wrong

 

Feeling criticized or called out on something can feel so uncomfortable. So triggering! This episode investigates what happens to us when someone tries to prove us “wrong” – whether they’re responding to something we’ve created, something we’ve said or done, or a personal opinion.

I offer two specific, grounding questions to stay as centered as you can and evaluate the criticism you receive as peacefully and openly as possible. I also touch on cases or situations where it might be ok to evalute that criticism critically and detach from it if it’s coming from a hostile or close-minded place.

An important point of this episode is that being called out on something – or when someone tries to prove you wrong – can be an excellent opportunity for growth, learning, and examining your own beliefs.
